The Texas ITSN welcomes specialists across different types of agencies and across all regions of Texas to participate in ITSN trainings and networking activities.
Participation in the ITSN
Examples of specialists include Texas Rising Star mentors, Early Head Start specialists, Texas School Ready coaches, Early Childhood Intervention specialists, and private trainers. Any specialist can register to attend the network’s online webinars and professional learning communities listed on the specialist training calendar.
As a participant in the specialist program, you will get exclusive access to trainings, professional learning communities (PLCs), and so much more! ITSN also has opportunities for teachers. If you are a teacher, licensed or registered home child care provider, or director who serves infants or toddlers, consider joining the Infant-Toddler Specialist Network. TEACHER PROGRAM SPECIALIST PROGRAM
Certification Program
Our Certification Program is for specialists who regularly coach, train, or mentor infant and toddler teachers (Texas Rising Star mentors, TSR Comp Coaches, ESC, and EHS specialists). Specialists will need to meet the requirements to join this program and will need to sign a commitment letter to participate. When accepted into the certification program, specialists complete online courses, webinars, and PLCs (small group trainings) to increase their knowledge and skills. Meeting these requirements gives them access to certified Texas ITSN content (Teacher Training Facilitation Guides and PowerPoints) that they use in their trainings to earn their certification. All certification members must be on the Texas Trainer Registry and use the Texas Early Childhood Professional Development System (TECPDS) to document all ITSN training and coaching events. The 2024 Certification Program cohorts are FULL. New cohorts will begin in the 2024-2025 program year.
