Dr. Scott returns us to how our own family culture, ACEs, and PCEs fostered or inhibited healthy interpersonal strategies in professional relationships now: teacher-child, teacher-parent, administrator-parent, administrator, teacher. But why look inward to our growth? Because some of professional development is about personal development. Quality early learning environments call upon teachers, administrators, and coaches to become more skilled interpersonally—empathetic compassionate, and less egocentric. We must actively seek do-overs on our own SASS to enable us to foster these social and emotional strengths in children. This conclusion of the series focuses again on SASSy Trust and Independence and adds the SASSy Faith of a three-year-old child as Dr. Scott introduces you to her ”secret” mission in life.
